The Hermes Birkin was created in 1984 following a conversation between Jane Birkin and Hermes CEO Jean-Louis Dumas during a flight from Paris to London. Conceived around the practical needs of an active woman, the design has remained in virtually unchanged production ever since. Its hand-stitched double-bar closure, twin rolled top handles, and signature lock-and-key hardware are among the most recognisable elements in luxury goods.
Chevre is a fine-grained goatskin with a characteristically tight, lightweight structure. Its natural pore pattern adds subtle textural depth, and the leather holds its shape particularly well across all formats. The piece is complemented by gold-plated brass hardware. At 25cm, this format offers a compact, refined silhouette suited to daywear and evening use alike.
Presented in pre-owned condition from 2024 and accompanied by original box, dust bag, lock, keys, clochette, receipt, care booklet.
